Podsumowanie pozycji

To support the Poland EHS Manager in implementing and maintaining compliance with occupational health, safety, fire protection and environmental protection standards and act as backup for the Poland EHS Manager ensuring continuity of tasks and responsibilities in their absence.

Podstawowe obowiązki

  • Perform tasks under the supervision and guidance of the Poland EHS Manager, focusing on supporting daily operations in Kanczuga site.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, fire protection, and environmental protection regulations and internal procedures across both sites.
  • Conduct EHS and fire protection induction training sessions for new employees, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge to work safely.
  • Organize and coordinate periodic training and training required by legal regulations, ensuring that all employees and contractors meet their mandatory training obligations.
  • Collaborate with external firms to organize mandatory audits, inspections, and environmental assessments as required.
  • Monitor working conditions and oversee the implementation of preventive and corrective measures to maintain compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist the Poland EHS Manager in preparing reports, conducting audits, and ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external entities, such as certification bodies, environmental agencies, and regulatory authorities, in collaboration with the Poland EHS Manager.
  • In the absence of the Poland EHS Manager, represent the company in external audits, inspections, and other formal meetings concerning EHS matters.
  • Support the coordination of projects to improve air quality, emissions control, waste management, and water and sewage processes.
  • Assist in risk assessment processes, focusing on identifying hazards and implementing effective mitigation measures at workstations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s safety culture by initiating and implementing safety-related initiatives.
  • Maintain and update EHS-related documentation and ensure all records are compliant with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Oversee and verify the work of external service providers related to EHS tasks, such as waste management or equipment safety inspections.
  • Provide regular updates and analyses on the status of occupational health, safety, fire protection, and environmental performance to the Poland EHS Manager.
  • Participate in planning and execution of new safety and environmental projects under the supervision of the EHS Manager.
  • Reporting in accordance with the applicable structure (Axtone Group and ITT), providing necessary support to the EHS Manager in preparing and delivering reports. Carrying out tasks assigned by direct supervisor to ensure compliance with organizational and legal requirements.
  • Be available to support the Poland EHS Manager in ITT/Axtone projects including those involving other plants outside of Poland. Assist in project coordination and implementation to align with company – wide EHS objectives.

Wymagania dotyczące pozycji

  • At least 6 years of experience in the manufacturing industry in the area of occupational health and safety, fire protection and environmental protection in an international production, fast- pace engineering environment.
  • Higher education in technical disciplines or chemical engineering supplemented with postgraduate studies in occupational health and safety.

  • Certificates confirming completion of courses and periodic training for occupational health and safety services (fire safety inspector certificate).

  • Ability to work in the Global Integrated Management System.

  • Able to work effectively on Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

  • In - depth knowledge of the environmental permits and BDO system.
