The principal purpose for this position located in Kańczuga, Poland, is to:

• Lead and support the Axtone (www.axtoneglobal.com) team in the development and execution of sourcing strategy for both direct products and services to leverage volume, optimize performance and minimize costs
• Develop cost strategies to support different business segments to enhance cost control, LCR and BCR vendors strategy implementation and VAVE initiatives
• Establish strong connections with key stakeholders including such as sales, production, engineering, R&D, quality and project management engaging them and assuring sourcing strategy is aligned with operation needs and expectations
• Support sales efforts to win projects through active engagement in selecting the right supplier and negotiation of best cost and terms
• Effective procurement project deployment in supporting to all new product development projects
• Support operational purchasing efforts to ensure effective VMI & PO management.

• Global responsibility for about $20M spend in different projects
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure best possible cost and improve supplier performance
• Identify cost savings opportunities, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate and generate favorable Terms & Conditions to assure seamless availability of products to support various projects
• Effective execution and realization on BCR (China, India & other potential countries) sourcing activities cross all direct material categories. The scope of responsibility includes quoting, negotiating, sourcing, buying and managing the supplier relationships and supplier performance in support of Axtone business requirement essentials
• Lead appropriate handover process of sourced products to assigned tactical buyers after successful development; monitor & support initial mass production order progress to ensure seamless transition
• Lead Vendor Inventory Management program to negotiate volume pricing, stocking program to support new and current product lines where is necessary
• Maintain right level of knowledges on supplier management, market intelligence, government regulations, and continually drive best purchasing practices and procedures to improve supplier quality, delivery, and cost
• Work with international teams, located globally

Education: BS Degree in Business or Engineering, MBA preferred

Experience: 5-7 years Operational Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing with 3+ years leading global initiatives

Skills/Knowledge:

• Business skills including leadership ability, innovative thinking, global strategy, communications and change management
• Familiarity and experience with Contract Law
• Technical knowledge including familiarity with castings, forgings, machining and other railway key categories
• Tactical purchasing experience
• Expertise in functional competencies of technical decision making, continuous improvement and project management
• Fluent knowledge of polish and english
